Danielle Missler, LMFT

My personal vision of health includes and goes beyond traditional theory. I have found that all aspects of life—physical, psychological, spiritual, and social—impact one another and I approach my work from that perspective. I have an innate curiosity about people and welcome the opportunity to get to know your story. When I’m not at the office I can be found enjoying the outdoors, traveling, cooking, and staying active.

Experience: During my time as an MFT trainee, I worked with adolescents, adults, and couples at the Pepperdine Community Counseling Center in Encino.  While at Pepperdine I also worked with residents of Children of the Night, a non-profit organization treating children and teens formerly involved in prostitution.  As a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I gained experience in somatic work at the New Beginnings Center in Camarillo and Mind Body Healing Center in Santa Monica.  I have received extensive psychodynamic training at the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills where I worked exclusively with adolescents.  I continued my work with adolescents and their families at Paradigm Malibu, a residential treatment center addressing mental health and addiction.  In addition to my clinical work, I have assisted in research at the UCLA PEERS Clinic; studying social skills in teens, adults, and preschool-age children.
